f-stop

I have edited this post because f-stop has updated their website and the old message below is no longer applicable. Here is a link to the archived version.

You can view some of my street fashion photographs for awhile at f-stop magazine in their group exhibition. They are images 4-6.

The Big Cat

The rear-ending of tourist buses rarely happens in Cambridge because pictures of wild animals are put on the backs of buses to scare drivers.

Rules of the Road

Cambridge requires adults pushing stollers to go in a straight line and follow each other.

Cultural Diversity

Party Time

Who knows how to party? The Cambridgeshire folk.

Colored Doors

The English like to paint their doors interesting colors. The foliage in front is like a burglar alarm--it is designed to discourage unwanted visitors.

Never Get Lost

You can never get lost in Cambridge because people are always pointing somewhere to go.

Each Student Gets Their Own Palace

Each student who goes on a study abroad in England gets his/her own palace, but you are responsible for all the cleaning.

These statements are not legally binding and the author might be full of biscuits.

They Paint Their Fences! Not Plastic!

This is a ye olde fence in Cambridge.

Undercover Queen?

Is this really a regular old lady? Ha! It is Queen Elizabeth undercover in Cambridge to do some shopping.

Just a door?

Is this just a door? Or is it the back door to Hogwarts?

England, More than Beckham, Fish and Chips

There are excitingly different signs to look at!

Posts on the tear

I found some postings on the fake tear appearing on Reagan's face.

PopPhoto has an interview with Tim O'Brien, and he posted something on his blog.

What a tangled web we weave when we try to be too cute.

Bad, Bad TIME

TIME magazine digitally introduced a tear onto Ronald Reagan's face on the cover of the March 26, 2007 issue. Famed photojournalist David Hume Kennerly is credited with Reagan's photograph, but Tim O'Brien did the tear. Can we still call TIME a news magazine?

Hopefully this link to the related article and photograph will last awhile.

I bought Photo-eye at Barnes and Noble yesterday. Here is a link to their website. Some old articles are free as downloadable PDFs.

Nikon D70 Update

Nikon has a firmware update for us D70 owners. I still have to get mine done.

The Old Way

It is hardto believe this system still exists. It does--at least at Uncle Ned's in Neenah.

More time?

Hopefully I can give more time to my blogs now that my Media Photo II class is over. I love the class--it is probably my favorite--but I put some of my photo blog news over there during last semester.
